• Ruth came to UW as a dance instructor in the Department of Physical Education in 1964.
• In 1965 she initiated with her sister institutions, the first Ontario Interuniversity League for Women.
• From 1965-1968, Ruth was the Women's Athletic Director.
• Further, Ruth initiated the sports of basketball, volleyball, badminton and track and field at UW. The roots of our current program were thus founded.
• In the late 60's, Ruth turned her attention to the development of the dances department within the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences.
• She has authored many dance articles, participated in and organized many dance productions.
• Graduated in 1981 with a PhD.
