- Won bronze, silver and gold medals in OUAA wrestling
- Won silver and gold medals at the CIAU wrestling championship
- Won the Canadian Open and Olympic qualifying championship in 1971072
- Participated in the 1972 Olympic Games as a wrestler
- Was a student leader in developing school spirit at UW
- Has coached cross country, football, badminton, track and field, wrestling, cycling and volleyball at the high school level
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) in 1973
