• Was the faculty advisor in guiding the one-year Physical Education program through the senate. The one year program eventually evolved
• He was instrumental in forming the Athletic Advisory Board and he served as Chairman of member for almost twenty-three years.
• Sponsored the Fryer Trophy for Intramural competition.
• Involved in the planning of the Physical Activities Building and the Columbia Icefield.
• Faculty advisor to many UW athletes.
• Represented UW on the governing bodies of the O-QAA and the OUAA.
• Participated in the writing of the UW athletic song, the Black and White and Gold.
• He was the recepient of the UW's Distinguished Teaching Award.
• He taught mathematics for 25 years at UW and was Associate Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics from the time of its founding in 1959 until his death in May 1984.
