• Was an athletic trainer with the Warrior football and basketball teams while pursuing his degree from 1960-64
• Returned to UW in 1969 as a lecturer and Head Athletic Therapist
• Worked with Don Hayes in the establishment of UW's athletic injury center
• Obtained a Master of Science in Education from Western Illinois in 1970 followed by his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1974.
• A renowned international expert on athletic injuries especially those to the head, neck and spinal column.
• He had served as chair of UW's Kinesiology Department.
• At the time of induction, he is a professor in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences.
• Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1964 and Bachelor of Physical Education in 1965.
