• Received his PhD from the University of Waterloo and has been on faculty as a Math member since 1972. Currently a Professor of Statistics at the University of Waterloo, a holder of General Motor's-NSERC Industrial Research Chair, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and a Gold medal recipient of Statistical Society of Canada.
• Drafted by the Peterborough Petes but elected to play at the UW for the Warriors.
• Warrior hockey team member from 1962-1967.
• A center, for developing a Warrior hockey program with an abundance of play making and scoring although he saw time at both Left Wing and Defense.
• One of the top UW Students involved in athletics.
• Captain of the hockey team for 1964-65 and 1965-66
• Honoured as the Warrior hockey Most Valuable Player in 1962-63, his first year.
• Awarded the UW Athletics honour plaque in 1966.
