- Mike joined the Warrior Men’s Hockey team for the 1971-1972 season and went on to captain the team from 1973 to 1975
- While wearing the #9 for the Warriors, Mike was a prolific scorer which resulted in an OUAA All-Star selection in 1972-1973 and 1974-1975 and was named team MVP during the 1972-1973 season
- Mike captained the 1973-1974 Warrior Men’s Hockey team to a CIAU National Championship title
- Mike went on to play professional hockey in Italy for the 1976-1977 season before returning home and perusing a Real Estate License
- Mike graduated from Waterloo in 1975 with a B.Sc. in Earth Sciences
- Residing in Kirkland Lake, Mike contributes a great deal of time to community work by spending time on different committees around the community.
