• One of the initiators of an annual conference for post-secondary students on intramural athletics.
• Was a career counsellor at UW.
• Was a don in UW student village.
• Involved in the Student Alumni Association.
• Graduated with a bachelor of arts (Recreation and Leisure Studies) in 1986.
