Don Mervyn suited up for the men's hockey team from 1963-68, and is 10th on the all-time men's hockey scoring list. Mervyn put up big numbers in his era notching 125 regular season points (45 goals, 80 assists) in just 49 games played, giving him over 2.5 points per game. Including exhibition, Mervyn tallied 159 points in 62 games wearing the black and gold.  His era was before the times of OUA all-stars and U SPORTS All-Canadians but there is no doubt Mervyn would have cracked those lists several times. In 1964, Mervyn won the UW Robert E. Rafferty Award as the MVP of the men's hockey team. It should also be noted, Mervyn's son Jason went on to play for the Warriors from 1992-95, also scoring over two points per game and was an OUA all-star in 1994 and the Warriors leading scorer in 1995.
