• Member of the Warrior hockey team for three years as an outstanding forward
• He held the scoring title for 14 years
• During his three years at UW, he was the team's Most Valuable Player twice, and OUAA All Star twice
• In 1973 - 1974, the Warriors won the CIAU championship. Ron scored 1 goal and had 4 assists to a double overtime win of 6-5
• Upon graduation from the UW, Ron proceeded to York University to obtain his law degree. Ron played for two more years being recognized as an OUAA All Star twice, and in 1976 - 1977 Ron was the most outstanding hockey player in Canada
• Graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History
