OAKVILLE, Ont. – Carla Munch has been named the 2025-2026 OUA Coach of the Year.
Munch led the Warriors to their first OUA Women's Golf Championship since 2011, and had three of her players – Jadelina Tep-Chhun (St Thomas, Ont./St. Joseph's Catholic High School), Alyssa Jamal (Mombasa, Kenya/Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa), and Abby Barker (Kitchener, Ont./Kitchener Waterloo Collegiate) – named OUA All-Stars.
She was named the OUA Women's Golf Coach of the Year in October, and the Warriors Coach of the Year at the Athletics Awards Banquet in March.
"Our department is incredibly proud of Carla and the standard of excellence she continues to instill in our women's golf program," said Roly Webster, Director of Athletics and Recreation.
"Leading her team to an OUA Championship this season and being named coach of the year in her sport is a testament to that standard. To be named as the Coach of the Year across all women's sports, as a part-time coach, is a tremendous accomplishment. We are happy to see her recognized for all her hard work and dedication to the Warriors."
Munch is the first Warriors coach of a men's or women's sport to win the award, which is presented annually to the coaches who have demonstrated an outstanding contribution in coaching, all around student-athlete development, and a commitment to coach education and advancement of the sport.
