TORONTO, ON – Tara Savoie, Head Coach of the Waterloo Warriors Men's Golf team, has been announced as a Team Official for the 2024 FISU World University Golf Championships. The event, set to take place from August 27 to 30 in Kuortane-Seinäjoki, Finland, will feature top university golfers from around the world.

Savoie, who was honoured as the Warriors Coach of the Year, will be instrumental in supporting the team during their international competition. The Canadian roster boasts six standout athletes, chosen for their outstanding performances and commitment.

The men's team features Anthony Jomphe from Université de Montréal, William Forgues from Université Laval, and John Paul Kahlert from the University of British Columbia. The women's team includes Ela Jones from the University of Guelph, Kristi Godkin from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Morgan Best from the University of the Fraser Valley.

In her role as Team Official, Tara Savoie will work alongside Adam Wagner from the University of Windsor and Kevin Corriveau from St. Clair College, who will also be supporting the team. Together, they will provide crucial guidance and support to the athletes throughout the competition.

The championship will be held at Ruuhikoskigolf, a prestigious course ranked among the top 100 in the Nordic countries, known for its excellence and for hosting significant events such as the Finnish Stroke-Play Championship and the European Men's Senior Team Championship.
