The Warriors finished a very respectable fourth place at the 2019 Rugby Canada University Sevens Championship hosted by RMC in Kingston this past weekend. After finishing pool play with an undefeated record (2-0-1) Waterloo faced off against Concordia in their semifinals and had the Stinger against the ropes late in the contest, but on the last play of regulation they would tie up the game at 26's and win it in sudden-death overtime.

Concordia would go on to win the championship title, beating Bishop's in the finals by a score of 34-0.

The Warriors had a chance at a bronze medal but again lost in heart-breaking fashion as Queen's scored a try in the dying minutes to top the Warriors by a score of 24-19.

The OUA Most Valuable Player from the 2018 season, Mitch Voralek (Waterloo/) was again a star, leading all players in scoring with 58 points, 21 more than any other player competing.
