WATERLOO, Ont. – Cross Country's Paige Breedon (Barrie, Ont./Innisdale Secondary School) and Patrick Dean (Whitby, Ont./Anderson CVI) have been named the W Store Warriors Athletes of the Week, presented by Imprint.

Third-year Paige Breedon (Barrie, Ont./Innisdale Secondary School) placed 11th overall at this weekend's OUA Cross Country Championship and helped her team to an 8th-place finish. Paige has earned both second-team OUA all-star and a spot at the U SPORTS Cross Country Championship taking place in two weeks.

"Paige continues to see success on the cross-country course, racing amongst Ontario's best at OUA championships this past weekend. For the second year in a row, Paige was named Second-Team OUA All-Star" Said Warriors Cross Country Co-Head Coach Justin Spalvieri.

This is Breedon's fourth Warriors Athlete of the Week award.

Joining Paige at the U SPORTS Championship is fourth-year chemistry major Patrick Dean (Whitby, Ont./Anderson CVI). "Patrick Dean (Whitby, Ont./Anderson CVI) made a big jump forward from last season, placing 16th overall at the OUA Championships," Said Warriors Cross Country Co-Head Coach Justin Spalvieri.

"This marks the top men's finish by a Warrior since the early 2000s. Dean steadily made his way through the pack, to lead the men's team to a 9th place finish."

This is Dean's second Warriors Athlete of the Week award.

The 2025 U SPORTS Cross Country Championships will take place November 8 in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
