McGill 6, Waterloo 1
The Warriors women's team was completely overwhelmed by the visiting McGill Martlets as the two schools faced off on Friday at the
Waterloo Tennis Club.
With the wind blowing with gale force strength outside, the Warriors were being blown off the courts inside. All except for one,
Nancy Baloescu (Kitchener/), Waterloo's No. 1 and one of the best Warriors to play for the women's progtram, prevented the sweep from McGill.Â
Games were hard to come by even in the losses. The Martlets were much more accomplished and experienced than the Warriors which made Balosecu's victory 8-3 all the more notable.
