Men vs. McMaster
Warriors 6, McMaster 1
The men and women Warriors were at home on the weekend hosting McMaster on Saturday and Carleton on Sunday. With a week of practice and playing in their accustomed indoor environment, the Warriors were all in better form than the previous week playing the University of Toronto at their outdoor courts in Scarborough.
Against McMaster, the men got the doubles point with routine wins from all three pairs. Singles, too, went easily Waterloo's way with the only hiccup at no. 6 with rookie
Saifullah Shoaib (Karachi, Pakistan) losing in three sets.

Women vs. McMaster
Warriors 5, McMaster 2
The women Warriors toughed out a close doubles match at no. 2 with an even closer one at no. 1 but both pairs came through in the end.
Together with an easy win at no. 3, the women got off to a good start just like they did against Toronto. This time though, there was no let down as they took four of the six singles to beat the Marauders 5-2.
Three rookies got their first singles wins - no. 1
Nancy Baloescu (Kitchener), no. 5 Daniela Castro and no. 6 Nancy Wu.

The Warriors followed up their win against McMaster with another successful day on Sunday beating Carleton 6-1.
Excitement started early in doubles play. Â Both schools with a win apiece, the doubles point rested on the no.3 pairs but it was the Waterloo pair of
Saifullah Shoaib (Karachi, Pakistan) and
Noah Matsui (Toronto) who came through in the end winning 8-7 to give Waterloo the lead.
Joe Zeng (Markham) playing at no. 1 lost to Jaser El Hadbrouk, one of the most consistent of players. The rookies continue to do well with DJ Fenerty,
Lazar Vukoje (Guelph) and Matt Gibson posting wins. No. 2
Eddie Wang (Richmond Hill) played an impressive match against the powerfully built and hard-hitting Mykell Reifer. Wang was on form and was able to return several of Reifer's service bombs with interest.

Women vs. Carleton

Following on their win from the day before over McMaster, the women Warriors went one better than their male counterparts on Sunday sweeping the Ravens 7-0. Â The women continued their winning streak in doubles having won the point against all three schools they have played so far.
In singles play, rookie
Nancy Baloescu (Kitchener) playing at no. 1 had no trouble dispatching her opponent 6-1, 6-0. Her teammates followed suit with routine wins of their own. No 5 and No. 6 went to three sets but both won the final sets comfortably.
The Warriors host Brock next Saturday and Queen's on Sunday.
