Quick start gives Warriors second win of season

Box Score The Warriors got two goals in the opening 31 minutes of their match with Windsor at Warrior Field on Sunday to earn their second win of the season.  

Waterloo improved to 2-3-1 on the season and now sit in seventh in the OUA west while Windsor fell to 3-3-1 and are in a tie for fourth with 10 points.

Nicholas Karavanas (Markham) found the net in the 15th minute for his first of the season while Jae Jin Lee (Toronto) provided insurace in the 31st minute to give Waterloo a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Windsor poored the pressure on in the second half but Warrior keeper Thomas Modjesch (Kitchener) stood tall to keep Waterloo out front by two.  The Lancers pressure finally paid off in the 74th minute as Damon Johnson put one past Modjesch.

The Warriors defence stood tall the rest of the way to preserve a big three points for the home side.  

Waterloo wil be back on Warrior Field next weekend in a pair of matches with Brock (Saturday) and McMaster (Sunday).
