Box Score The visiting Laurier Golden Hawks scored on a penalty in the 17th minute and didn't look back en route to a 3-1 battle of Waterloo win on Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field. Â
Laurier went up 2-0 early in the second half as Nikola Miokovic fired home his second of the game but Waterloo made it a contest when Nik Paradis scored his first goal as a Warrior in his first match. Â The rookie striker took a nice pass from
Jae Jin Lee (Toronto) at the edge of the box and slid it past the Hawk keeper on the short side.
Waterloo would push the pressure once again with several quality chances off of corners but could not find the equalizer. Â Laurier would add a late insurance marker in the 75th minute to secure the 3-1 victory.
Waterloo will be back in action on Saturday against Brock in St. Catharines before returning to Warrior Field on Sunday for a tilt with Guelph.
