Western made a strong bid for a comeback in the late going but could not find the equalizer as Paico-Avilez and the Warrior defence shut down the home side. Â The win was Waterloo's first over Western since 2006 going 0-12-5 over that span.
The Warriors who have had a roller coaster of a season with lopsided losses but key bounce back games will look to stabilize things next weekend when they take on Laurier on Saturday on the road and then McMaster on Sunday at Warrior Field.
