Black and gold are in tough against Lancers on Sunday

Box Score The Lancers offence was relentless in a 4-0 win over the Warriors Sunday in Windsor with three different players contributing. The Warriors had a tough weekend and fall to 0-1-5 on the campaign.

The Warriors' Matthew Cimino (Guelph) had the first opportunity of the game but was stopped by the Lancers goalkeeper. Momentum shifted soon after when goalie Thomas Modjesch (Hateg) injured himself making a save. Adam Weller (Keswick) replaced Modjesch in goal.

Weller didn't have much time to get warmed up before Jack Sargent opened the scoring for Windsor in the 24th minute. Weller made a great penalty kick save on Jumbo Iyowuna to keep the Warriors alive. Michael Pio would add a second goal for the Lancers before the break to put them ahead 2-0 before half time.

The game began to get out of on control in the second half with multiple yellow cards being shown to players. John Bahdi would score off a corner kick directed by Sargent in the 56th minute to put Windsor in front by a score of 3-0. Sargent would add his second goal of the game late before the final whistle was blown.

The black and gold were defeated by the Lancers 4-0 and continue to struggle offensively. The Warriors return to Warrior Field to host Guelph on Wednesday at 1:00pm.
