The Waterloo Warriors ended the season in the win column as they defeated Brock 3-2 in a card-heavy matchup on Sunday afternoon. Stuart Mackie (Kitchener) had the winning goal in extra time as he scored on a penalty kick to score the victory.

In a contest that saw everything, including 10 cards issued, four ejections (including a fan) and a highlight reel goal by a goalkeeper in his last career game, both teams left it all on the field as Waterloo rallied late with the man-advantage to score three times in the final 18 minutes.

Brock opened the scoring in the 31st minute as Zair Mohammed buried a rebound past Waterloo starter Anthony Spanopulis to put the Badgers up 1-0.

Brock starting goalkeeper and fifth year team captain Jake Sweetzer started in goal and played the first 25 minutes. In the 40th minute, he was subbed back into the game as a striker. It was just over a minute later that he drilled a bullet into the top left hand corner for his first career goal as the crowd and Badgers lineup erupted. Then in the 55th minute, Sweetzer and Waterloo's Kian Gordanifar (Mississauga) were both issued red cards ending their afternoons.

Late in the second half, Omar Hamadi was issued his second yellow card as the Badgers played short a man for the remainder of the contest.

In the 79th minute, the Warriors cut the lead in half, as Mohammad Amin Nafar (Jeddah) beat Brock goalkeeper Noah Mar for his first goal of the season.

Four minutes later, Mar went to clear the ball and put it right off the side of the Warriors Nicholas Karavanas (Markham) into the empty net tying it 2-2.

In a contest which went well over 90+ minutes, Waterloo's captain Mackie scored the game winner in the 93rd minute on a penalty kick, after being taken down by Mar inside the penalty box. Mackie celebrated with his teammates all over the field and was issued a yellow card for over celebrating after taking his shirt off.

Waterloo ends the season on a winning note after a tough season.
