Game Summary

The Waterloo Warriors remain winless on the season after a 3-1 loss to the Western Mustangs on Sunday afternoon in London.  Despite the loss, Waterloo deserved a better fate with several quality chances on the Mustangs net but unfortunately were not rewarded for their efforts.

After the thirty-minute mark, Eric Amato of Western took a corner kick and Pat Mroczek was finally able to finish the deed for the Mustangs to put them in the lead 1-0. Rudy James followed up minutes later and scored off of an assist from Christian Douglas to double Western's lead to 2-0.

The second half began with the Warriors attempting to pressure the Mustangs. The Warriors had some good runs, but were unable to solve Western keeper Ivan Skoko.

Eric Amato of Western would put the Mustangs up by three before Evans Vordzorgbe (Ghana/) would notch his second of the season for the Warriors to cut into the Western lead.  Vordzorgbe received a beautiful cross by Gordanifar for the goal.

Unfortunately Waterloo could not generate anymore offense and would drop to 0-0-6 on the season.

Waterloo returns to Warrior Field next weekend against the Brock Badgers on Saturday followed by the UOIT Ridgebacks on Sunday.
