Women's rugby double up on Mustangs, host OUA quarter-finals

Game Summary

The Waterloo women's rugby team doubled up on the Western Mustangs 10-5 on Friday afternoon in London to solidify home field for the OUA quarter-finals next weekend. 

Waterloo finished the season 5-1, good for second spot in the OUA Shiels Division while Western went 3-3 for third spot. 

Megan Colwell (Spencerville/) and Nastasha Vrablic (Cambridge/) provided all of the Waterloo scoring with five points each while Arielle Dubisette-Borrice scored the lone try for the Mustangs.

Colwell opened the scoring with her third try of the season while Vrablic added a conversion and what was the game winning try, early on in the second half.  Vrablic now has three tries, four converts and five penalty goals for 38 points on the season.

The two combatants will have just over a week to refresh before they collide for the rematch in the OUA quarter's on Sunday, October 14 on CIF field #1 at 3pm.
