The Warriors battled cross-town rivals Laurier Golden Hawks to a 0-0 draw on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon on the CIF fields in a heated affair.
Both teams had their opportunities to find the back of the net but keepers
Hansel Paico-Avilez (Oakville/) and Martyn Hooker (Brantford, Ont.) stood tall making several big saves.
With the tie Laurier's record moved to 4-5-4 good for the sixth and final playoff spot while Waterloo is on the outside looking in with a 3-8-1 record.
Waterloo returns to the field to battle the Western Mustangs at 3:15pm on Sunday at the CIF fields.

The Warriors fell to the Western Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the CIF fields. With the loss Waterloo now has a record of 3-9-1, six points behind Laurier for the final playoff spot. Western improved to 6-4-4 on the season and sit comfortably in fourth place in the OUA west.
Harris Cekic (London, Ont.) scored both goals for the Mustangs in the second half (50', 75') to sink the Warriors. Cekic now has nine goals on the season good for fifth in the OUA, with four of those goals coming against Waterloo.
Waterloo has a short rest before welcoming the Brock Badgers on Wednesday, October 19 at 3:15pm.
