With a Sunday afternoon contest between the Waterloo Warriors and the Queens Gaels, the Gaels came out with a 95-3 win.
Over the past many years the Gaels rugby program has developed a powerful dynasty. They have captured recent OUA titles in 2019, 2022, and 2023. Up against this force, the Warriors battled with ferocity and maintained a booming, positive presence on the field that also echoed from their bench. The solo points for the Warriors today were obtained by a successful penalty goal scored by Philippa Reid (Halifax, NS). The Warriors had many big defensive blocks, as their defensive core was lead by experienced athletes Natasha Brooks (Georgetown, ON) and Karen Chen (Guelph, ON).
Up next, the Warriors will take on the Trent Excalibur Saturday, September 14.
