The Waterloo Warriors pulled off a well earned 18-14 victory against the Laurier Golden Hawks this Sunday afternoon. The Warriors opened the scoring with a strong team push into the end zone and soon added a second try from a powerful scrum. The Warriors strong start created a 10-0 advantage early on. Laurier cut the lead to 10-7 with a try and converted kick 20 minutes into the half, but Waterloo responded quickly with a third try to make it 15-7 heading into halftime.
In the second half, Waterloo's defense held strong, forcing turnovers and making crucial stops, including standout plays by William Nhanala (Waterloo). With 15 minutes remaining, Laurier closed the gap to 15-14 after scoring and converting a kick. However, Waterloo applied pressure, drawing a penalty, and Joshua Eustace (Brantford) scored on a penalty kick to push the lead to 18-14. In the final minutes, Thomas Marshall Wells Richards (Toronto) made key defensive blocks, securing the Warriors victory.
