Warriors Secure Medals at the 2024 OUA Rowing Championships

The Waterloo Warriors rowing team made waves at the 2024 OUA Championships in St. Catharines, Ontario, overcoming intense high winds that condensed the event into a single, high-stakes day. Among 14 competitive teams vying for the OUA title, the Warriors showed the depth and versatility of their program with standout performances across multiple events garnering a collection of medal performances.

The novice women's 8+ crew set the tone by clinching a gold medal in Thursday's 2km development pre-regatta and reinforced their dominance with another gold in Friday's 1km OUA race. This back to back success highlighted their stamina and teamwork, solidifying their reputation as a force in novice women's rowing.

Further adding to the medal tally, the Warriors' novice women's 2X (double) claimed a bronze in their 1km race, displaying a powerful combination of skill and endurance. Meanwhile, in the men's 1x, Leon Domagalski (Warsaw, Poland) rowed his way to a hard-fought bronze, underscoring the breadth of talent within the Warriors' squad.
