In the first meet of the 2022-2023 season the Warriors Swimmers, with 16 new rookies this season, held their own against a strong University of Ottawa team and defeated Carleton in a meet in which all three teams raced together but the meet was scored as three dual meets.

Outstanding swims were had by Lukas Wormald (Kitchener/), who had a 1st place finish in the 100m Freestyle (51.96) and three 2nd place finishes in the 50m Freestyle (23.21) ,50m Butterfly (24.73) and 100m Backstroke (58.23). On the women's side, rookies Nicole Lau (Aurora/) and Megan Frost (Point Claire/) both placed in 2nd place on the All-time Top 10 Warrior list. Lau won the 100m Breaststroke in 1.11.87 and 2nd in the 50m Breaststroke in 33.24. Lau also placed 3rd in the 100m Butterfly with a time of 1.06.00. Frost had a very close finish at the end of the 800m Freestyle to finish 2nd with a time of 9.12.50.
