WATERLOO, Ont. – Women's Volleyball's Avery Isaacs (Calgary, Alta./Bishop Carroll High School) and Swimming's Louie Yin (Toronto, Ont./Parkdale Collegiate Institute) have been named the W Store Warriors Athletes of the Week, presented by Imprint. 

Isaacs, a fourth-year environmental science major, helped lead the Women's Volleyball team to back-to-back wins this weekend against Lakehead. Over two games, Isaac tallied 22 kills, 10 blocks, and 2 aces.  

"This was another major weekend for Avery. During her performance this weekend, she became the OUA and U SPORTS attack efficiency leader with a score of 0.700. Her attack efficiency is off the charts and has led the team to four straight wins" said Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Richard Eddy. 

This is Isaacs's first Athlete of the Week Award. 

The Warriors wrap up the fall term with two games at Ottawa before the holiday break. 

Yin, a second-year software engineering student, contributed 59 points in this weekend's Swimming Divisional Championship, helping the Warriors to a first-place overall finish. Yin came in first place in both the 50m & 100m backstroke while also contributing to a second-place finish in the 4x50 medley relay.  

This is Yin's first Athlete of the Week Award.  

The swim team will compete again on January 17th at the McMaster Quad Meet.
