Taite Sinkeldam commits to Warriors for 2020 season

Women's soccer is thrilled to announce their second recruit of 2020, Taite Sinkeldam. Sinkeldam, a member of Waterloo United soccer has game changing ability and incredible vision on the pitch.

"I have been so excited to see Taite's growth in the Waterloo Minor Soccer program and after watching her on our recruitment day, I knew she was an athlete we wanted on our team in 2020," commented head coach John O'Brien.

"Taite is incredibly fast on the wing side but also as a fire in her belly to win. Players like this will give us a great edge."

Sinkeldam played for Waterloo Minor Soccer from 2014-15 and then joined the Guelph Gryphons Minor Soccer league for three years from 2015-18 before returning to Waterloo in 2018. As a member of her high school team, St. James in Guelph, she has been in the top five in scoring and hopes to bring that scoring touch to the Warriors.

Sinkeldam is a very aggressive and tactical player and will create more quality possession for the Warriors.

"I am looking forward to joining the Warriors and combining my passion for soccer and education at a great institution such as Waterloo," said Sinkeldam. "The program is heading in the right direction and I hope I can become a part of their future success as they strive for provincial and national championships. I can't wait to get started next season."
