This evening, the Waterloo Warriors faced off against the Western Mustangs at Warrior Field, suffering a 3-0 defeat in a challenging match. Despite their determination, the Warriors were unable to find the back of the net.
The Mustangs opened the scoring early with three goals in the first half. The Warriors responded with offensive intensity, particularly from Aya Naamani (Oakville), who showcased impressive offensive speed throughout the game. Standout performances also came from Tazia Lessard (St.Thomas)Â and Megan Cordi (Vaughan), who were pivotal in the defensive line. Lessard and Cordi effectively disrupted the Mustangs attacking plays, demonstrating strong tackling and positioning that kept the scoreline from escalating further.
Offensively, Priyanka Chakravarti (Richmond Hill)Â led the Warriors with many close shots and key passes up front. The Warriors tied the Mustangs with eight shots, but the final score did not reflect their efforts.
Looking ahead, the Warriors will host the Brock Badgers next Friday, eager to bounce back and secure a much-needed win.
