Box Score The Waterloo women's volleyball team wrapped up their 2016-17 season in style with a big 3-1 win over the Trent Excalibur on Saturday night in Peterborough. Â
The win snapped a 5-game losing streak and gives Waterloo a record of 9-10 on the year. Â With their 18 points the Warriors finished fourth in the OUA west and will take on the 19-0 Toronto Varsity Blues in the OUA quarter-finals.
The Warriors were led by
Kayla Wierts (Drayton) who had a massive game for the black and gold with 17.5 points. Â Wierts put away 17 kills on just 27 attempts and also had one block in the match. Â
Claire Mackenzie (Vancouver) was next in kills with seven while playing a solid game defensively with 11 digs. Â Rounding out the attack was
Mila Kostic-Damnjanovic (Calgary) who had five kills in the win. Â
Claire Gagne (Cambridge) collected 31 assists and 10 digs in the match.
