It may have only been the third game of the season for the Waterloo men's rugby team but it certainly had a feeling of a post-season match as both teams knew a win would significantly improve their playoff chances.
Unfortunately for Waterloo they could not pull off the victory as they went toe-to-toe with Brock but fell short 25-19.
Rookie flyhalf
Paul Schroeder (New Dundee) continued his hot start to the season with a game high nine points on one try and two converts. Another pair of Warriors who have also been having strong OUA season's also found the scoresheet as
Peter Squire (Port Perry) and
Michael Appiah-Kubi (Toronto) each tallied a single try.
For Brock it was a complete team effort as five different Badgers punched it home for tries giving them there 25 points (no converts were made).
Waterloo's next two matches suddenly become must-wins if they hope to be talking about the post-season come October. Waterloo will take on RMC in Kingston on Saturday, October 3 before battling cross-town rivals Laurier on Friday, October 9 on their home turf.
