Western 6, Waterloo 1
In the last match of the regular season, the women Warriors faced one of the top three women teams in the league. In a reverse of Saturday's score, it was the Warriors turn to be overwhelmed by stronger opponents. The home team played well but they were simply outmatched. Nicole Holland (Oakville) put up some resistance in her match in the second set against Chantal Forristal, a seasoned veteran and a regular contender for the OUA all-star team. Waterloo's only point came from a default when an opponent defaulted with a shoulder injury. The match had been close up to that point.
The Warriors next match will be at the OUA Championships hosted by York University Oct 16-18 at the Mayfair East and Parkway locations in Toronto.
