Box Score The visiting Ryerson Rams battled back from two sets down to hand Waterloo their fourth loss of the season with a 3-2 win on Saturday night at the PAC. Waterloo looked in control taking the first two sets 27-25, 25-23 but the Rams stuck around and managed to mount the comeback taking the final three sets 25-22, 25-16 and 15-10.
With the win Ryerson improved to 5-2 on the season and sit in a tie for second overall in the east while Waterloo fell one game below .500 with a 3-4 record (tied for second in the west).
Rookie outside hitter Kristine Yan was dominant in the contest with 18 kills while Veronica Livingston also had a strong game with 16 kills and two service aces. Setter Lauren Ebenhardt earned 62 assists in the win.
For Waterloo it was
Clara Tse (Hong Kong/) earning 14 points on her 10 kills and four service aces while middle
Natasha Spaling (Drayton/) also got in on the action with 10 kills and three blocks.Â
Waterloo will look to get back in the win column next weekend when they host Ottawa on Friday night at the PAC.
