Rookie guard Laura Burnett (Heidelberg, Ont.) led her team in scoring both games this weekend in a pair of losses to the Toronto Varsity Blues and Ryerson Rams.  The Kinesiology student scored 11 points on Friday night against a tough Blues team shooting 50% from the field (4 for 8) while hitting two three pointers on three attempts.  Burnett followed up her season high 11 points with a solid night on Saturday contributing 9 points.  Burnett continues to improve each game showing her poise and skill and logging big time minutes for a rookie player.  “Laura’s comfort level and confidence have been growing every day since the start of the term.  She’s had a great first half of the season, highlighted by her play this weekend,” commented head coach Tyler Slipp.
