Full Write-Up
It was no secret that the Waterloo Warriors offence would be good, but their on-field display in Week 1 was truly something to behold, sparked in large part by this week's co-offensive players of the week – Tre Ford (Niagara Falls/) and Tyler Ternowski (Hamilton/).
The dynamic duo was simply incredible against the Windsor Lancers and their numbers proved it.
In only his eighth OUA game and first as a starter, Ford went 25-for-28 (89% completion rate), with 463 passing yards and six touchdown passes.
The six majors set an all-time Waterloo record and fell just one shy of the OUA record. Ford also ran five times for 58 yards, which included a 20-yard TD run.
If Ford's numbers were to be equated to an NFL raiting it would be a perfect score of 158.3.
On the receiving end of many of Ford's accurate tosses – 11 to be exact – was Ternowski.
Among those 11 catches, the talented receiver hauled in four touchdown passes, including an 83-yard major. He would finish the night with 289 total receiving yards.
Ternowski tied an all-time OUA record with his 4 TD receptions.
