Laura Brown is a University of Waterloo grad and a retired elementary teacher from the Waterloo Regional District School Board. Brown joined the women’s volleyball team in 2014 as an assistant coach and is no stranger to coaching at the university level. Prior to joining the Warriors, she worked as an assistant coach with the Laurier Golden Hawks.
Brown has been a local club coach in Kitchener Waterloo for 25+ years, coaching some provincially and nationally ranked teams, which included players that went onto Canada’s national team. She was an integral member of the coaching staff for the club team that won the Provincials and the Canadian Nationals in 2004.
Laura has also coached at numerous summer camps both in Canada and in the U.S. and is currently responsible for the development of youth programs with the Kitchener-Waterloo Predators Volleyball Club.
