Christine Hyde enters her first season as the full-time associate coach of the women’s basketball program. Hyde has an incredibly extensive background as both a player and coach and will make an immediate impact alongside head coach Jess Roque as the 2022-23 U SPORTS season kicks into gear.

As a player Hyde had an illustrious career which included being a starter of the Texas Tech Red Raiders (NCAA, Division 1) from 2009-13. Hyde played an important role in leading the Raiders to two NCAA tournament appearances. In the summer of 2013, Hyde was invited to the San Antonio Silver Spurs (WNBA) Draft Camp and then went on to play professionally in a variety of European leagues from 2013-18, including Belgium, France, Germany, and Turkey.

Hyde has a wide variety of coaching experiences including her most recent gig with the KW Titans of the National Basketball League (NBL) of Canada, working as an Assistant Coach. Hyde played a significant role in helping the Titans reach the NBL Finals. Hyde has also worked as an Assistant Coach and Manager of the Malton Kings Basketball Academy Prep School as well as a Development of Players for the Malton Youth Basketball Association.
