Job Summary:

Reporting to the Coordinator, Recreational Sport or their designate, they will monitor and ensure the safety of all participants who attend the Open Recreation Skates throughout the term. They will interact regularly with the campus population, including other facility staff as well as other full-time student and permanent staff. Rec Skate Supervisors are expected to act as an ambassador for all Warrior Recreation programming both while working and throughout the entirety of their term.

This is a casual part-time 4-month contract working each academic term. Primary shift responsibility will be weekday, daytime work with the option of some evening and weekend work. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrive 15 minutes early to get prepared to supervise the skate
• Ensure that the policies and procedures of the recreational skates are followed by all
• Always maintain an appropriate professional demeanor
• Act as an ambassador for Warrior Recreation
• Assist with any other general task that will benefit Warrior Recreation 

Qualifications & Skills: 

• Must be a Waterloo student
• Competent skating ability
• Must provide own skates and helmet
• Standard First Aid with CPR (preferred)
