Ticketing Student Coordinator

 Position:Ticketing Student Coordinator 
 Appointment Terms:August 17, 2024 – April 30, 2025 (flexible start date and open to one-term commitments if better suited to the candidate) 
 Rate of Pay:$21.00/hour
 Hours Per Week:Varies – includes 1–2 varsity games per week plus flexible admin and email support (approx. 10–15 hours/week average during the season)

Job Summary:

Reporting to Emily Ysselstein, the Marketing Coordinator within Athletics and Recreation, the Ticketing Student Coordinator plays a key leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the Warriors Box Office. This role supports all aspects of ticket sales and game day logistics, working with a team of student ticketing staff to ensure smooth and professional service at all varsity events. 

You’ll assist with pre-season ticket setup, ticket distribution, float preparation, scanning equipment, reporting, and customer communication. The Student Coordinator will also serve as the main ticketing contact on-site for home varsity games. 

Evening and weekend availability is required, especially for varsity home games in Football, Hockey, Basketball, and Volleyball. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to oversee Warriors Box Office operations 
  • Assist with game day ticket duties, including sales, ticket orders, scanning setup, and reporting 
  • Supervise and support the student ticketing team during events 
  • Act as the primary ticketing contact at varsity events, troubleshooting issues and ensuring a professional fan experience 
  • Maintain ticketing records and prepare post-event reports, including float counts and deposits 
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns via email, phone, and in-person 
  • Support administrative tasks such as email correspondence and advance order fulfillment 

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (required before first in-person shift) 
  • Responsible, independent, and energetic with strong leadership qualities 
  • Previous experience with ticketing, customer service, or event operations preferred 
  • Knowledge of university varsity sports and familiarity with game day flow 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Proficiency with web-based software and Microsoft Excel 
  • Ability to resolve conflicts quickly and professionally 
  • Comfortable leading and supporting a peer team in a fast-paced environment 

 

Commitment Overview:

  • Pre-Season Setup: Approx. 30 hours for inputting game dates and ticketing rates (flexible schedule) 
  • Weekly Office/Admin Hours: Approx. 2 hours per week for email and order fulfillment (flexible schedule) 
  • Varsity Events: Approx. 200 hours from September–March including 40+ varsity games, exhibition matches, and playoffs (mostly evenings and weekends)
