Position: CIF Arena Attendant (UWaterloo Students Only)
Remuneration: $15.50 - $18.90/hour
Reports to: Arena Coordinator
Expected Hours: 10-15/week

Offering exceptional and diverse programming, the Department of Athletics and Recreation operates to enrich and enhance the on-campus student experience. Our primary goal is to promote wellness and inspire all Warriors to reach their full potential. Our program offerings include aquatics and first-aid, fitness and wellness classes, intramurals, instructional classes, strength and conditioning, and a variety of sport clubs. We have 31 varsity teams competing for provincial and national championships and we are one of the biggest employers of students on campus. JOB DESCRIPTION
- Customer service - programs and facility information
- Safe setup and operation of equipment (flooding of ice)
- Maintain facility cleanliness and safety
- Provide security checks and key control access
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Arena Operations preferred
- Previous customer service skills
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
- Knowledge of athletics, including varsity, campus recreation, and facility information
- Ability to enforce policies and procedures
- A team player who is able to be self-motivated with little supervision
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleaning of Ice (training provided)
- Provide customer service to members
- Enforce equipment and facility policies and procedures
- Opening/closing the facility
- Handling cash for concessions
- Regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facility
- Completing laundry
- Attendance at all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions
