WATERLOO, Ont. – Men's Basketball's Isaiah McRae and Track and Field's Syiera Stuart (Belle River, ON/) have been named the W Store Warriors Athletes of the Week, presented by Imprint. 

Isaiah was the player to watch this week, as he scored a season-high 31 as his team beat McMaster 84-69. He followed his high-scoring performance on Wednesday with a Saturday 24-point game, with the Warriors falling to a strong Brock team 77-76.

The third-year guard also contributed 4.5 rebounds and 5 assists, and a steal a game over the weekend's 2 games. Diving deeper, since the start of 2026, he's averaged near 20 points a game, 6.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.6 steals, which are career high numbers across the board. He's played above and beyond expectations as he looks to claim an OUA All-Star spot.

"Isaiah continues his impressive second half of the season with two monster games on home court," said Warriors Men's Basketball Head Coach Troy Stevenson.  

This is McRae's sixth Warriors Athlete of the Week award, four of which have come this season.

Syiera Stuart (Belle River, ON/) was on fire at the Guelph Last Chance Meet over the weekend. She started off strong with a personal best time in the 60m Hurdles and continued to perform in the Triple Jump. She set another new personal best, beating her previous best by a near 10cm, as she jumped 11.45m. This won her first place in the event, and landed her second all-time for UW, 1cm short of a record.

"Syiera had the meet of her life" said Track and Field Associate Head Coach Kate Bickle-Ferth.

The track star continues to climb up the rankings, improving to 18th in U SPORTS and ninth in OUA. She will look to improve her ranking and score points for the women next week at the OUA Championships in Toronto.

This is Stuart's first Warriors Athlete of the Week award.
