The hot start for the No. 8 Warriors continued on the weekend with a pair of Battle of Waterloo victories as the black and gold improved to a perfect 4-0-0.
On Friday night at the Rec Complex, Waterloo toppled the Hawks 3-1. After an even first period where Waterloo (
Kassidy McCarthy (Bowmanville, ON/)) and the Hawks exchanged goals, the Warriors scored in each of the next two periods to earn the victory.
Leah Herrfort (Palmerston, ON/) scored her fourth and fifth goals of the season while
Tatum James (Stratford, ON/) earned two helpers on the goals. In between the pipes,
Kara Mark (New Hamburg, ON/) earned her first career win making 25 stops.
On Saturday afternoon the Warriors put the pedal to the metal early, scoring four first period goals to take a commanding 4-0 lead into the first intermission.

Brooklyn Cole (Kitchener, ON/) and
Jalen Duffy (Burlington, ON/) added goals in the middle frame to put Waterloo up 6-0 heading into the third where Laurier would get one back to make the final 6-1 for the visitors.
Waterloo will look to continue their perfect start with pair of home games, first on Thursday against TMU at 7:00pm followed by a Sunday afternoon tilt with York at 2:30pm. Both games can be seen live on OUA.tv.
