The Warriors earned three out of a possible six points in their northern road trip with Laurentian and Nipissing this past weekend.

On Friday night, Waterloo fought back from a 2-1 first period deficit to top the Laurentian Voyageurs 3-2. Trisha Cho (Mississauga/), Sarah Rettinger (Kitchener/) and Hannah Street (Shoal Lake/) tallied the Warrior goals while Mikayla Schnarr (Waterloo/) earned the victory between the pipes stopping 34 of 36 shots.

On Saturday, Waterloo jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to Krystin Lawrence (Tecumseh/) who netted her 10th of the season with the helper going to Alison Hanson (North York/). 

Nipissing tied things up late in the second before jumping out to a 2-1 lead early in the third. The Warriors fired everything they could at the Lakers keeper in the final minute on a power play but could not find the equalizer. 

Alysha Letwin (Barrie/) made 23 saves in the loss while Chantelle Sandquist earned the win with a 24 save performance.

Waterloo now sits tied for fourth in the log-jammed OUA standings with 31 points. Their next game goes this Thursday night at the Waterloo Rec Complex against Laurier before closing out their season with four straight home games against Guelph, Queen's, Ontario Tech and Brock.
