The Warriors made their bi-annual trip north to battle the Algoma Thunderbirds in Sault Ste. Marie this weekend and came away with four points. 

On Saturday, Waterloo's offence exploded for four goals as the black and gold blanked the T-Birds 4-0. Jake Carenza (Oakville/) was outstanding for the Warriors with three straight goals ('13, '46, '82) while Nicolas Noblecilla (Oakville/) put home the fourth goal in the 85th minute to secure Waterloo's first win of the season. Jackson Vinci (Edmonton/) earned the win with five stops.

On Sunday, the Warriors couldn't follow up their offensive outburst from Saturday despite putting 17 shots on target. They would settle for the nil-nil draw and make their way back home with the four points.

The Warriors are now 1-2-2 on the season, two points back of the sixth and final playoff spot in the OUA west. They continue their leauge play next weekend with a match in Windsor on Saturday before returning home to Warrior Field on Sunday to take on Western.
