Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's soccer stays hot with 3-0 win over Mustangs

Last season, the Warriors were victorious once in 16 games. Fast forward just one season to 2018, and the black and gold have five wins in just seven matches.

The men's soccer team is off to a sizzling start with a 5-2-0 record through seven games, good for second spot in the OUA west just one point behind the Guelph Gryphons.

On Saturday, Waterloo picked up their fifth win, defeating the visiting Western Mustangs 3-0. The win avenges a 2-0 loss to the Mustangs just six days ago.

Scoring for Waterloo was the second best scorer in the OUA Sebastian Guerrieri (Oakville/), his seventh of the season who put away a nice feed from Lukas Frankovich. That goal had the Warriors up 1-0 into halftime.

Christoph Bruckeder (Waterloo/) put home a free kick in the second half to put his Warriors up 2-0 while Luke Chauvineau (Geneva/) added the final nail in the 67th minute to seal the 3-0 win.

In net rookie keeper Matt Papadopoulos

Waterloo will look for their sixth win tomorrow in Windsor when they battle the Lancers at 3:15pm.
