It was a rare Tuesday night match for the women's volleyball team but the Warriors looked mighty sharp in their second last regular season game of the season topping Windsor in straight sets.
With the win, Waterloo has officially clinched their second straight playoff berth with their 16 points. Windsor, Guelph and Brock can all catch the Warriors in the standings but the Warriors have the tie-breaker in all scenarios where the four teams have 16 points. If it's just Guelph and Waterloo at 16, Guelph will be the third seed while Waterloo earns the fourth and final playoff seed.
Claire Mackenzie (Vancouver/) was her usual self, leading her team in points with 15.5 points on 14 kills and two blocks. Mackenzie also collected 12 digs in the win.
Sarina Trasolini (Vancouver/) and
Brooklyn Gallant (Cambridge/) were also major contributors in the win with 11.5 points each.
At the net
Serena Otshudi (Stoney Creek/) had two blocks while
Claire Gagne (Cambridge/) was on her game with 37 assists in the match.
Waterloo will wrap up their season on Saturday in London against Western and hope to pick up two points and confidence heading into the OUA playoffs that get underway the following weekend.
