Box Score Women's volleyball continued their hot streak at home with a straight set (22, 16, 21) victory over Nipissing on Saturday night at the PAC.
With the win, the Warriors moved to 6-0 on home court and an impressive 8-5 record on the season. Waterloo's 16 points on the season has them in third in the ultra-competitive OUA west division.
Almost all the Warriors saw action in their eighth win of the season as
Richard Eddy went to his bench to get some of his non-starters some action.
Claire Mackenzie (Vancouver) led the offence in points with 12 on eight kills and four service aces while
Casey Clunas (Harriston) collected 8.5 points with seven kills and one ace.
Alyson Colpitts (Fredericton) finished with 7.5 points while
Emily Ibbotson (Cambridge) had 6.5 to round out the offence.
Defensively
Sarah Remedios (Ajax) has a game high 12 digs while
Claire Gagne (Cambridge) and
Karly Smith (Lockport) teamed up for 30 assists in the victory.
Most of Nipissing's attack came from Tracy Hammerton who finished with 9 points.
The Warriors will gladly continue their five game home stand next weekend as they welcome Windsor (Friday) and Western (Saturday) to the PAC.
