Warrior swimmers raced for the final time in 2016 at Brock University Saturday night. There were a few excellent swims in the group.
Danyon Chu (Unionville) (50 free), Jon Ramkissoon (50 breast) and Emmy Kucheran (800 free) were the winners on the night.
With nationally ranked Western providing the most of the winners on the night it was tough racing for the Warriors. Second place finishes were captured by
Josie Andres (Thorndale) (50 breast and 50 fly),
Danyon Chu (Unionville) (100 free) and
Aidan Chow (Aurora) (50 fly).
Other highlights were lifetime bests by team veterans
Ruxuan Li (Ottawa) and
Frances Heather (Waterloo) in the 400 free - both good for 3rd;
Jeremy Wang (Markham) showing some life in the 100 breast and Jon Ramkissoon displaying speed in the 50 back with a time good enough for 7th on the all time Warrior list.
The key for the next 4 weeks is to maintain the good work of the fall, be consistent with training through exams and stay on track while home for a few days. The Warriors race again on January 8th in Guelph.
