Warriors drop 2016 finale to Gryphons

Box Score The Waterloo women's volleyball team dropped their fall finale to the Guelph Gryphons on Friday night.  Guelph swept the match 25-16, 25-20, 25-19.  

Waterloo heads into the Christmas break with a very respectable 4-4 record, good for third spot in the very competitive OUA west.  

Alyson Colpitts (Fredericton) led the way with eight kills while Kayla Wierts (Drayton) had seven.  Emily Ibbotson (Cambridge) had a strong game at the net with a game high five blocks.  Defensively Sarina Trasolini (Vancouver) led the way with eight digs.

Guelph was led by Victoria Golebiowski who had 12.5 points on 11 kills and one block.  Maddie Dedecker was also a factor offensively with eight kills.

Waterloo will open 2017 at home, where they are a perfect 3-0, against the Brock Badgers on January 14 against the Brock Badgers.
